This was his arm and hand before the surgery. The arm is a little larger now
after the surgery but looks the same. The black and rough looking parts are
scabs from the skin ulcers that formed. They bled and scabbed daily,
causing a pretty strong smell and needed to be wrapped in dressings daily.
It cost us roughly $150.00 per month to keep his hand clean and dressed to
avoid him bleeding out in public places, at school, or on his clothing.
